Privacy notice
How the implemented OwnOwe MVP handles account, financial, security, and support data.
What we process
OwnOwe processes your email and account identity, secure sessions and device identifiers, and the financial information you choose to record: accounts, balances, activity, debts, investments, categories, notes, reports, and imports. We do not ask for full card numbers, bank passwords, crypto seed phrases, contacts, location, or advertising identifiers.
Why
We use this data to provide the service you request, synchronize your devices, secure your account, generate exports, complete deletion, and respond when you contact support. OwnOwe does not sell personal data, show behavioral advertising, or use cross-app tracking.
AI-assisted drafts
External AI is disabled until its provider and privacy terms are approved. When enabled, it receives only the minimum context for a request you make. It cannot access the database or post entries. You must review and confirm every validated draft. It does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Retention, export, and deletion
Encrypted imports and exports expire after 24 hours, and export downloads are short-lived and single use. You can request a portable JSON export from settings. Account deletion has a 14-day cancellation period, then removes your identity, finance data, sync devices, jobs, and temporary artifacts from the primary database. Encrypted backups must expire no later than 30 additional days; that backup mechanism is a production launch gate.
Security and choices
OwnOwe uses secure sessions, encrypted temporary artifacts and mobile storage, tenant checks, bounded inputs, and redacted telemetry. Email verification and stronger provider authentication are optional but recommended. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection.
